Promised pictures of the boys

Here are the boys after their new haircuts. These are fresh-from-today pictures that will hopefully placate my family!

Some of my '08 primary photos

Below are some of the pictures I took at primary events the past couple of months. It was really fun covering these political events, but I admit I am clearly not a photo-journalist. The paper does occasionally print a photo of mine, but I have SO much to learn about taking pictures! (OK, I know I need to let go of the primary. I promise this is the last you'll hear about it until it returns three years from now!)

This is from one of the last Obama rallies held in Nashua before the primary election. It was a madhouse! I admit I was totally shocked when he lost because it really seemed like he had so much support.

A Romney photo.

Not the most flattering of Giuliani. I love that the kid almost has his finger up his nose. Obviously this wasn't published!

This is from an "Obama Mama's House party." Yes, that is an Obama paper bag puppet.

A Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

So, once again I am woefully behind in updating our blog. Of course, I've neglected just about everything in my life since I found out we're expecting baby #4. I'm just getting back into writing more regularly for the paper after spending weeks writing just one or two articles. I'm almost 17 weeks now and am starting to feel better.
Our first New England winter has certainly been an adventure. We have had several HUGE snowfalls -- last week I saw green patches of lawn for the first time since mid-November. We also got to experience our first first-in-the-nation primary, which was so much fun for us political animals. I got to cover Giuliani, Romney, Obama and McCain events for the newspaper I write for, and Matthew spent time volunteering for Romney. He also indoctrinated our boys who were declaring every other candidate but Romney "bad." I tried to undo some of the damage.
Sorry we didn't send out a Christmas card this year... I'll try to make up for it by acutally sending out a baby announcement. It will be the first I send, assuming I actually do it.
I'll post more pictures soon! (probably don't believe me anymore, do you??)
